Visiting a doctor and taking his opinion is a much recommended option, in order to get the correct diagnosis and seek further treatment.

Medicines such as H1 blocker need to be taken as a preventive measure for acid reflux sore throat. H1 blockers can neutralize the acid that is coming up in the esophagus. Drinking water also helps to soothe the throat. Gargling can also help reduce the pain to a certain extent. Vaporizers and humidifiers can also be used to help reduce the pain. If the sore throat is combined with symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, dehydration and breathlessness, then consulting a doctor is necessary as it could need a more extensive treatment. Thus, these are a few effects of acid reflux sore throat and the various remedies available to cure it.
